Revealed at the New York Auto Show, the Lincoln Continental emerged and shares some features with the Ford Fusion, in which the continental uses a similar but stretched, widened and reinforced body to accommodate its bigger dimensions and increased mass. While available in front-wheel drive, its top model will have standard all-wheel drive. With 400 horsepower and about 400 lb-ft of torque, drivers will be impressed with the Luxury sedan.

 Performance

The new 2017 Lincoln Continental utilizes a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine that is rated for 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Other engine options in the continental will include a naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V-6 and a twin-turbo charged 2.7-liter V-6, both of which emerged from the MKX line. All models send power to the wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission that features three driving modes: comfort, normal, and sport. Each of the presets in the new Lincoln Continental adjust shock absorber settings, transmission shift points, and steering effort. The all-wheel drive system which is standard in the 3.0-liter engine lines, includes torque vectoring. Regardless of which engine option you decide on, the 2017 Lincoln Continental will provide an exhilarating and one-of-a-kind driving experience.
